As I mentioned in earlier posts, the beauty of quarantine —that collective pause —and, quite frankly, cancer, gave me the opportunity to dig into seeing what’s next. . . and then a  “you’re fired!” during Thanksgiving weekend of 2021 changed everything. It took a career spanning well over 30 years for those fateful words to be uttered.

Yet a seemingly impossible to fathom “what’s-next?”, set up a series of events that brought a long-awaited dream into vision.

Due to my husband’s career, my life has pretty much revolved around the world of college football. The highs and lows are enormous and often times our livelihood rests on the decisions a 18-22yr old makes on game day. So needless to say it can be a precarious business, one where we move A LOT.

Little did I know that those fateful words that Thanksgiving weekend (or black Sunday as it’s referenced), words that we avoided for decades, would actually be the catalyst to find not only one property but two.

Silver linings might just be my playbook. ✧
